Introduction Environmental concerns have been of great concern, when deciding the sources of energy. Environmental and health impacts have led to countries developing energy plans that concentrate on clean sources of energy. I tend to go along with the statement that the only choice for electricity in Ontario is clean generation. In determining the future of Ontario’s electricity, different stakeholders have considered the environmental impact of using other sources of energy other than the clean sources. The environmental impact of using energy sources such as coal has been indicated to be great compared to that of using clean sources such as wind and solar. Besides, its production has enormous environmental consequences in form of habitat destruction. Moreov er, the contribution of natural gas production to climate change is just slightly less compared to coal in terms of energy. Furthermore, a decrease in the natural gas reserves has led to doubling of its price. This makes it a more volatile and less attractive alternative for electricity production compared to clean sources such as solar and wind. There is also an opportunity of meeting power generation and heating needs using efficiency measures and renewable energy sources rather than natural gas. As such, Ontario is left with an alternative of considering most efficient and environmental friendly energy sources, which include hydropower, solar, ground heat, biomass, and wind. The only choice for electricity in Ontario is generation of clean electricity because the current electricity path threatens the province. The province currently relies on coal for electricity production; this usually compromises environmental quality and public health. Plenty of researches indicates that there are connections between the type, and quality of food follows a socioeconomic class or structure. While a high quality food is associated with individuals from a high class or of greater wealth or privilege. On the other hand, energy dense foods being poor in nutrients are consumed by persons from lower classes and socioeconomic status and of restricted economic power. Therefore, steak of a high and premium quality is more likely to be consumed by individuals of a high social class. Moreover, foods that are high in fats are more likely to be associated with people from a lower social class. There is an argument that the tastes that consumers have for certain products, or the consumption of specific prod ucts or services is socially conditioned, and these products are reflective of a symbolic hierarchy that is maintained, or is determined by the dominant social class to enforce their distinction from other social classes. Therefore, tastes could be a social weapon that defines a certain social class, and it defines and differentiate the high from the low in matters that ranges from food, drinks, newspapers and cosmetics. Consumer preferences, especially when it comes to the food consumed is socially conditioned, and it can be seen from the upper social class’ selection of food. The debate about food and class comes down to education because the idea of being taught lies at the center of the debate or socially conditioned. Food classification and the rules are passed down from one generation to another as advice concerning what to eat or what makes a suitable meal, the time to eat, food preparation method, process and safe food preparation strategies. HI, my name is Chapin Bengal and I would like to thank you all for coming to our 8th grade Continuation Ceremony. I am honored to be presenting to you tonight as one of the valedictorians of the 8th grade class at Homestead Peak. When I transferred to Minter Middle School in 6th grade, I was very apprehensive about starting a new school where I didn’t know anyone. All of the students and staff welcomed me and made me feel as if I had always been a part of the community. Throughout the past three years we have all formed close reindeer’s and created many memories. Whether It was normal classes or various fieldwork expeditions, we all formed a bond through these experiences that Is irreplaceable. As a class we have worked hard to prepare ourselves for high school. We all have accomplishments to be proud of, such as 2,000 hours of community service. We have worked hard to exemplify our community traits and keep our grades up. Even though some of us may be going to different high schools or even moving out of state, we will always be connected. I would like to thank my peers for giving me great middle school experience. We wouldn’t be where we are today without the help from our teachers and families. As an expeditionary learning school we do a lot of hands on activities. I would like to thank our teachers for helping us learn a lot and making it fun at the same time. They are the ones who organized activities like the Tenth Mountain Division hut trips and The Civil War Reenactment. Both of these experiences have taught me about important lessons in greater depth than I would have learned In a classroom. I am extremely grateful to have had these opportunities. I know that the teachers work above and beyond the normal work day to make these opportunities possible for us. We are grateful and appreciate their time and dedication. Our parents also deserve our thanks and recognition. Many of us take the life our parents have given to us for granted. Few of us realize the sacrifices they have made to get us to this point. Therefore, I would like to thank our parents who have supported all of our endeavors. The following quote from Abraham Lincoln reminds me that each day brings a new opportunity and it is our responsibility to make the most of every single day.
